Welcome Fr. Sandy

“Hello, yes po, yes po,” was all Fr. Alexander “ Sandy” Villamor Enhaynes could say when Bishop Gabriel Reyes called to tell him of his new assignment, as the new Parish Priest of the Parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary starting June 30, 2008. He revealed, “My life changed in a matter of seconds because of that call. My mother worried about the thirty chickens I would leave behind in Antipolo Hills!”

Fr. Sandy, as he is fondly called, was ordained in October 23, 1997, a day short of his birthday (October 24) at the Antipolo Cathedral. A true blooded Antipolonian, he was born to Felicisimo Erta Enhaynes of Igbaras, Iloilo and Ligaya Javier Villamor of Antipolo City. He has three other siblings all with the initials A.V.E., as Fr. Sandy proudly pointed out. He had his primary education at Our Lady of Peace School, his intermediate education at Juan Sumulong Elementary School, his secondary education at Antipolo National High School, graduating Salutatorian. He had his college education at Mapua Institute of Technology, with a degree in Civil Engineering. He went to St. Paul Seminary for his degree in AB Philosophy minor in Mass Communications and Graphic Arts and at Divine Word School of Theology for his degrees in AB Sacred Theology and MA Pastoral Ministry graduating Magna Cum Laude in both courses.

Aside from being our Parish Priest, he is currently the Director of the Diocesan Youth Ministry. Prior to his assignment to our parish, he was the parish priest of San Isidro Labrador Parish (2005-2008), Chaplain of La Salle College Antipolo (2006-2008), Attached Priest of Nativity of Our Lady Parish ( 2002-2005), Rector of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Seminary ( 2001-2002), Parochial Vicar of St. John the Baptist Parish (2000-2001), Spiritual Director of St. John Vianney Formation House (1998-2001), Director of Diocesan Vocation Ministry (1998-2001), Assistant Director of the Diocesan Worship Ministry (1997) and Parochial Vicar of the Immaculate Conception Parish (1997).

According to his Friendster account his hobbies include web surfing and reading. Among his favorite books are Angela’s Ashes, The Chosen and The Little Prince. His all time favorite movie is E.T. He describes himself as a very boring person, but many tend to disagree. Indeed, Fr. Joel describes Fr. Sandy as a very lovable priest.

Fr. Joel Victorino, our Parish Priest for the past four years and five months, is now in Rome, Italy on a one year Focalare scholarship grant, taking a Special Course on Spiritual Vocation.
